As an Associate Partner of ReBUILD for Resilience, the IRC will participate in the Consortium Management Committee, helping to disseminate information across its networks and providing guidance based on decades of experience conducting research and supporting health systems strengthening in fragile and shock-prone settings.

Dr Lara Ho
Director of Strategic Initiatives, Health Unit
For more than two decades Lara has worked as a public health professional. She is experienced in social/behavioural community-based intervention research and health systems strengthening in refugee and post-conflict settings. She has lived and worked in Tanzania, Côte d’Ivoire, DRC, Chad, Myanmar, Sierra Leone and Switzerland.
As the Director of Strategic Initiatives in the Health Technical Unit at IRC, Lara oversees the research and innovation portfolio, leads priority initiatives, and manages strategic business development with public and private donors. She is also an Associate Faculty member in the Department of International Health at JHSPH and an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University Center for Humanitarian Health.

Alicia Adler
Senior Research Uptake Advisor
Alicia is an advocacy and communications professional specialising in influencing health policy and practice across humanitarian and developing contexts. She is Health Policy and Communications Specialist at IRC where she works to promote policy change to increase access to acute malnutrition treatment and other life-saving services across crisis-affected communities. Before joining the IRC, Alicia worked for a range of NGOs in Malawi, Madagascar and USA – all focused on raising the profile of vulnerable populations among key decision makers. This included leading a national advocacy campaign on newborn health and managing a global coalition on women’s health and feminist action.
Alicia holds a master’s degree from New York University.
